The Year in Review 2008!

Midwest ATV Riders have successfully completed one full, exciting and rewarding year. On December 29th 2007 at 8:53pm, this site went live, and since then, we have barely had a chance to catch our breath.

Impressively, this forum alone has generated over 26 organized rides in 2008. We have had the opportunity to explore some really great trails and meet some even greater people.

Midwest ATV Riders was designed with the recreational ATVer in mind. Our hope was to provide a friendly atmosphere where you, the forum member, would feel comfortable sharing your unique riding experiences.

Without all of you, this forum would not exist and your response to Midwest ATV Riders has been overwhelming. We thank each and every one of you for your support and look forward to a lasting relationship.

As we close out 2008 and move forward to 2009 the immortal words of the Grateful Dead, “What a long strange trip it’s been”, ring in my ears. A strange trip; most definitely, but always exciting.

Wow! Twenty six organized rides; I knew we rode a lot last year but that is amazing!

2008 was a very enjoyable year for me. Cadman and I had the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful folks and ride some amazing trails. I look forward to the ATV adventures 2009 will bring and forging several new friendships through this great sport.




Boring, Skoalwolf, REALLY?!! Hmmmm, that wouldn't have anything to do with the Grizz being out of commission for a good part of the year, now would it?

Come on Dixie, Don't pick on the wolfman! It only took us 6 months to make him a Honda Guy! Now Dabears is looking at a new Honda!

But seriously! I had a great time in 08. Yes, some minor ups and downs. But all in all 2008 will be a year to remember. Made lots of new friend and rode on some of the best trails I have ever seen. Its going to be hard to top that, but I'm up for it if the rest of our ATV family is! Let go 2009! yeeee haaaaa!

It was a great year!! And can't wait for having more fun this year!! I am glad certain people got me hooked on actually riding and not just giving my share of grief on the website!! And for that I say THANKS!! ;D It's has been really nice meeting a lot of new people that have become friends!!

So far no riding, just typing and that has been fun! The adventures should be even better according to the pics. Look forward to ride time with all of you!

350x, your going to love the adventures your about to embark on with this bunch of crazies! I sure do anyway! The pictures are great, but they just don't do justice to the fun we all had and the bonds that have formed. I'm glad you and Cillax have decided to come along for the ride!



I see Wolfie has decided to stay on as our chief cook and bottle washer for another year! Wolfie's burger's always taste great, probably because I don't have to cook them, and his stuffed peppers are amazing!

Wow it is pretty crazy that we have been around for a year already!! I know some people probally thought we wouldn't never make it this far. Congrats Midwest ATV Riders!!!

I just had a thought as I was checking out the pictures from the Year in Review; "All of these pic's are great, but how many more hit the edit room floor"? I bet that was a job, weeding through all of the pictures from 2008.
