Directions: Just miles from Interstates 24, 57, 55 and 64, Williams Hill Pass is located approximately 9 1/2 miles southeast of Harrisburg on Route 34 South. From Harrisburg, Illinois: Turn South on Route 34 past McDonald’s. Go approximately 6 miles to Mitchellsville. Turn South at Shawnee Antiques Mall & Auctions. Go approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the BIG YELLOW SIGN. Turn right on PEAK Road. Go 1.5 miles to gate entrance and follow the gravel road for another ½ mile to parking, registration, facilities and Welcome Center.
Trail Description: Williams Hill Pass offers off-highway vehicle (OHV – ATV) riding opportunities for all ages and riding abilities including: 226 Acres of Forest and Field Trails, Motocross Track, Kids Track, Flat Track, Mud Bog, Prairie Trails, Family Trails, Hiking Trails, Fishing – Catch and Release. Surrounded by a beautiful atmosphere and the Shawnee National Forest! Also, just minutes away are 2 other OHV Parks with more than 800 acres of trails!
Info Other: CAMPING available with hot showers and clean restrooms. Sites are secluded and primitive; however, generators are welcome. HOURS OF OPERATION - Williams Hill Pass is open Thursday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. You can ride until dark. Also open on most holidays. Due to safety concerns we close for riders during deer season (shotgun). Deer camps and meals are available.WEEKDAY RIDING and CAMPING - Williams Hill Pass offers weekday riding and camping Monday through Wednesday for groups of 5 or more. Please call 618-252-6978 at least 2 days in advance to make arrangements. If no answer, please leave a message as messages are checked regularly and someone will return your call.
