Ely OHV Park South of Ely Iowa Ely, IA Nearest Town: Iowa City, Solon Trail Type: Little bit of everything Park Contact: DNR Land Trail Description: This park is now run by the DNR and is no longer accessible by jeeps or trucks. It is reserved for ATV's and Motorcycles only. Helmets and Registration stickers are required for entry. Info Other: Open only to ATV's and Motorcycles. Park is totally fenced in and entry by anything larger than an ATV is impossible. General Location: South of Ely, Iowa Description: This area the only park not funded with OHV registration dollars. It is a legal place for Jeeps and four-wheel drive truck to roam. Maintenance has been minimal by the dirt bike and ATV riders since it is ridden by other user groups and difficult to maintain.
