This place rocks. Probably the best trail riding I've experienced. I believe there's 2500 acres of riding. Most of it is trails, not much for open spaces. Some of it is very rocky, especially closer to the lake. The trails are marked. The perimeter trail is nice and looks like it is maintained very well. You can really get up to speed on this one and it's wide at some points. If you want mud, go closer to the lake. If you want good technical climbs, there's that, too. There are lots of hills. The riding, IMO, is better than St. Joes, which is one of my faves.
The camping in the OHV area is primitive. There are vault toilets, but not much else. I believe there are other camping areas at LBL that offer better facilities, but I'm not sure. They have a dumping station that I saw on the way to the OHV area. I stayed at a "resort" at $45/night which was pretty basic, but less than 5 miles from the riding area. That worked out pretty well.
The drive from the QC was 7 hours. If you're gonna go, I would recommend at least two days of riding, if not more. We rode for two and probably didn't see but 25% of the trails.
If this place had the camping amenities of St. Joes, it would be far and away the best place to ride/camp that I've seen.

This park certainly sounds amazing! Clem your pictures of past rides to Turkey bay were great as well. Twister, you know how much Cad and I like St Joe, but I'm curious; what makes the trails at Turkey Bay better than St Joe? I would really like to check out this park, but so many parks and so little time to explore each one!

Well, it's hard to put my finger on it, but the main trail was quite a bit more fun, IMO. It seemed to be a bit more groomed. I was hitting some good speed, too. I was hitting 40 in some spots, which is moving right along for trail riding. The offshoot trails were mostly covered with dry leaves, so they were hard to see this time of year. The lookout over the lake was spectacular. Probably harder to see during the spring or summer, though. I don't know, maybe Clem can jump in here, but I had quite a bit more fun on this trip.

the main trail is as smooth at a highway lol. its groomed and taken good care of and its was wide as a two lane highway. the scenery is beautiful and the trails awe well marked. once you get your bearings in the park its easy to find your way back as well. i think that the thing about turket bay is that it feels like your riding in the woods and not an atv park if that makes any sense. its really a cool place.

Thats exactly how I feel about St Joe, so I would probably love this park. The only downside that I can see is, Turkey Bay doesn't have decent on-site camping, but other than that,, this place sounds awesome!

the camping areas probably arent a plus but if your gonna be out on your quad all day then its good enough, you can camp right by the lake or in the woods. theres always a ton of people camping there and i always see plenty of fifth wheel campers so you guys should like it.
