Irideon4 asked me what kind of power washer I had and what I thought was good or bad. So I thought this would be a good place in the debate section to try to answer that question!
Well I have had both kinds of power washer, electric and gas powered and from 1600 psi to 2600 psi. It all depends on what your needs are as far as what kind gas or electric and what psi you really need. The first one we had was an electric 1600. The reason we bought the electric was because we needed it for some indoor type of work such as power washing basement walls and floors. But we use it for many different thing such as power washing decks, siding, cars and ATV's. It was OK for inside work but for ATV and decks it would take a long time to get the job done and the electric was on the loud side as well as not very mobile due to the power cord. lasted for around 2 years with some small repairs.
1600 electric power washer priced around $99.00
So I wanted to get something with more power (its a guy thing) and make a big job a little easier and quicker. I went with the Troy bilt 2600 with the Honda motor. Here is why, the Honda motor is quit compared to the standard B&S. It come with 4 quick release spray tips for different PSI's, 25 foot of hose, a adjustable control detergent tank, comes on a very good cart. Last but not least 2600 PSI. That will take your skin off trust me. Yes it is powerful, but when you need the power it is there. It would take me the better part of the day to power wash the house and decks with the 1600! the ATV's about 4 to 5 hours on the worst mud. But now I can do the house and deck in about a hour and a half and the quads in half the time. Just bought this one in July of this year.
Troy bilt 2600 psi priced around $325.00
