Hey everyone. I thought I would use this spot to give a little info. We will be starting our 3rd season here pretty quick. We have a recently built registration building w/ rrooms, showers, a/c, vending and such. All of our trails (about 15 miles) are one-way marked. They wander all over throughout the 120-acre site, near the lake, through the woods and near the rock river. We dont fence so dont drive in. We have a beginner, intermediate and advanced mx track. We limit engine size on the 2 smaller tracks. Theyre for kids, and they love those 2 areas sometimes not even really leaving them. The bigger track is fair game nothing too technical, tabletops, whoops, some doubles that you can bypass. We also have a decent size lake that we use for water for dust control. We have rangers out and aboot on quads just riding around making sure everything is kosher. they wont bug anyone unless your doing wheelies in the parking lot. we dont encourage that. other than that its a really fun place. Here is a myspace link with some pics. www.myspace.com/rockyglenohv Oh were also going to build an endurocross track soon. Its gonna be a blast. **mitch** www.rockyglenohv.com

Went to Rocky Glen today and overall it was pretty good. Yes, it is a smaller park but they have packed in a lot of good stuff in the space. ;D The road around the lake is a good back-bone for the park and you can drive around pretty fast. Off the main road you can link up with the 3 tracks and several trail areas. The trails were REALLY rutted. Virtually every trail we rode you didn't have to steer much because your ride will just follow the ruts. This could be because it is February and maybe they cant work on them, I don't know because this was my first time. The trails were interesting, albeit short, but I can see how if they were groomed it would be good. The scramble area was GREAT. A neat little curvey track that isn't difficult but fun to drive around. One really disappoint part was the parking lot. The road that loops around the lake leads right back to the parking lot. So people riding around will cut through the parking lot - and drive REALLY fast. The people running the place apparently didn't notice or care - there was a little kid just a few feet from some a-holes driving 30 through the lot. Come on. Pros: Trails, tracks, scramble area Cons: rutted trails, parking lot

How far from the quad cities is this place, and how much was it to ride?

It's probably about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from the quad cities. It is located in Rockford Illinois. The cost was $20 per adult and $10 for 12 and under. Flags are normally required although they weren't when we were there because it wasn't that busy. An Illinois DNR annual sticker is also required, $11 per year or so.
