The 47-mile Chesses Country Trail between Monroe and Mineral Point still give me a great outing. I can fish for brookies and browns and stay overnight in Wisconsin’s oldest inn, the Walker House at the head (or end) of the trail in Point (www.thewalkerhouse.org). The owners supply a hearty complimentary breakfast and space and tools to clean and tune my ATV. I bought an ice cream and got a room discount.
