Well I finally made the decision to buy a Honda 250 sporty and after months of deliberation my intention was to look for a good used bike. As I stated, that was my intention, however, after traveling 2-1/2 hours to look at a used 2002 that was said to be in excellent condition only to find a quad I wouldn’t trust to ride down the street, I became disheartened. On the way back home from this excursion we decided to make a pit stop at Hawkeye Motorworks in Davenport “just to look” at the new stock. Making that detour turned out to be the best decision I made. Joel, the owner of Hawkeye Motorworks couldn’t have treated me better and he made me a deal that I just couldn’t walk away from. Not only did I get a great deal from this dealership but he threw in a matching helmet to boot! Thanks Joel for making this purchase painless and enjoyable, I will definitely be back and I would happily recommend Hawkeye Motorworks to anyone looking to make a great deal on a new or used ATV or motorcycle. Well I will bet on the Honda mainly cuzzzzzz I know the race would go for at least a mile or 2 and that little green kawi will only go for about a 1/2 mile before it breaks down,you fall off, ends up in a ditch or last but not least you forget to put gas in her! So even if you try as hard as you can the Shinny black Honda will out last you. But Mojo you keep trying because we always need some good pictures for the caption contest!  |

I am glad you found one, it is one sharp looking one! Now you have to get Cadman to put some FLAMES on it!! I think some Silver Flames would look cool on the black fenders!! Now you need to make your "wish list" for extra parts. Exhaust Tires/rims wider axle extended swingarm braided brake lines Nerf bars etc. etc. etc.  |

LOL! Mojo, your right, my wish list has already started, for sure some Nerf bars and probably some new tires, I'm not sure about the flames, maybe some cool pin striping though! ;D

I really love my kenda claws dixie, and they are a great tire for the price, only $220 for the whole set @ rockymountainatv.com and I even got the oversized tires, if you went with the stock size they would be even cheaper  . I wish I could have found a black 400ex, man that thing is sharp.  Are you bringing it to the next ride?   |

Yeah, Exfan, I plan on riding it on Sunday's ride if the weather cooperates (it doesn't look good for Sunday), otherwise I'm out for this ride.  Thanks all for the info on the tires, my first thought was to get Nerf bars for the safety aspect but I now realize the tires are probably more important so those will get moved up on the wish list. |
