Solon is a great place to go that is close! It has mud, hills, open trails, timber trails, water and even a motocross track (I haven't seen it, but heard it is small). This place isn't the biggest, but for sure not the smallest and for being only a hour away from the Quad Cities it is defintely a fun time. The place does have bathrooms there , however most girls won't go potty in them. This place is also very family friendly and any type of rider could have fun there.

Right outside of Iowa City and you would take Exit 246 on I80 for HWY 1. You go about 9 miles into Solon and you turn left on HWY 382 go down that road and turn right onto Ely Road NE go up a mile or two turn left onto 140th st and the parking lot will be on the left. You will see the park on Ely Road on the left. Here is a map on how to get there www.psndealer.com/dealersite/images/iowaohv/lakeview.pdf If you go there, let us know some of us might go with you. Don't forget this place is DNR land and they are ALWAYS out there checking for regstration. Since you live in Il, you can go down to Walmart, Gas Station or wherever they sell Fishing/Hunting licenses and pay for it. Oh Yeah don't forget to write a review on the place!

Well we went to Solon and I have never been there with that much snow! It was a fun time still, and the new Motorcross track looks like it would be fun in without the snow. There wasn't much of a track, but it did have some jumps. DNR came out later in the day to check our tags and he kinda talked about there would be new stuff coming there in the future.
