The Cliffs Insane Terrain is exactly as described INSANE TERRAIN! This is a must go place for hill climbers and utes who like winching. There is a very nice rock bottom creek to play around in, little kids area, all types of hills, motorcross track (some of you MX riders will laugh at it) and even some trails that have signs saying "winching required". This place is normally a REALLY MUDDY place! I wouldn't recommend bringing beginners or kids to this place (I knew a guy who brought his son on a 80cc quad and spent most of the time getting him unstuck). I think the Cliffs is about 80-90 miles away from the Quad Cities. Also this place is shared between quads/dirtbikes and trucks/suvs.

Cool places if you like hill-climbing and advanced trailing. Does have easy trails mapped out for the little riders but not a first choice if looking for family fun. Flags are required and a riding fee....but no other charges. Tipability factor= no tipovers yet....but plenty of pucker-moments

As I have stated in other posts, this is not one of my favorite places to ride. I don't have a problem with the insane terrain, which by the way it certainly has, my issues are with the maintenance of the place. The trails had such big ruts when we were there that you could almost loose your quad in them and none of the trails were groomed at all. I don't think I would have minded so much but the cost to get in was around $17.00 per person, if I remember right, and I just expected to get a little more for my money. That being said, I believe there are probably riders who absolutely love this place and I also believe every quad park will have 10 different opinions by 10 different people, it just depends on how and where you like to ride. Just my two cents worth!

Great place to ride for anyone in mind, there is an open flat area that you can play in that has mud and some jumps for the novice rider. the creek gives the 4x4s some deep spots but is also shallow enough in spots to crawl around with on any atv. there are lots of rocks in it though so i reccomend skid plates for the creeks. If you really like technical riding, then theres plenty of it. i pushed my brute to its limits on several trails that went up washouts and gulleys in some of ths hills. the hills provide plenty of places for sport bikes and dirt bikes to test their skills. my buddy has my heart racing a couple of times going up them. the trails arent groomed the best but they do groom the main trails, but not very often. we found ourselves riding in some deep truck ruts a few times but i like off camber stuff so it was fun for me. the scenery at this place is really cool when you down in the bottom of the hills. Another cool thing about it was that even though the parking lot was completly full and there was a ton of trucks and jeeps and atvs, it didint feel like it. we were off on our own without seeing alnyone for quite a while back in the woods. There are plenty of mud holes to hit if you like the mud. some of them are deep enough for trucks so if your really feeling lucky you can hit them on your atv. The creek provides a nice place to cool off and wash off when you get are ready to leave. overall i give this park two thumbs up, but remember, its not gonna be great for a rookie rider, as there are some very challenging trails. so if you like a challenge and love to get muddy, then this is the place to go.

the new office and rest rooms are open-very nice. the new consession stand-open and the lady cooks your burger etc. after you order [burger & fries very good ,large serving too only $5.] and theres picnic tables with a canopy over head. or bring your own grill. if you do get stuck the office will send some one out to get you just call them or send someone to let them know what trail your on. all the trails are marked and they have maps at the office for you to take with you. Steve has a fee posted for recovery but ive flipped my atv over and hes even came him self to help, not only did he not charge me after he and some of his helpers got my bike back up on the trail he checked the air box for any sign of oil. great guy. PS let me know when u go .
