Gob Hill is a pretty tame park but that is a plus for riders who like to take the whole family! As a winter riding spot, it has lots of ice to play on, some decent hills and trails....and plenty of high-speed flats. The washout area running beside the 2 ponds is great for some technical crawling and tight-spot practice. The park is also very close and makes a "spur-of-the-moment" ride very easy.
Tipability factor = none yet

/\ I really want to go, but IL regstration goes from March to March and I don't have a 07 sticker. Cadman and myself have been talking about going up there once we can pick up 08 stickers! Maybe in March? Pick a date and set it up for March EXFan, and I am sure you will get a couple people to go with you.

Gob hill is a nice place to ride this is my first ohv park though. i mostly ride private land. this has nearly evrything you can ask for mud, water, hills, and trails close to home. first time there we rode for an hour and didnt see anyone. like said before what do you want they have it only thing missing is sand but the sectoins by the ponds on top of the hill are close to sand when its warm i'm told. all and all i go there about once a month so imust like it there.

I'm sure your daughter will do just fine, just take it slow. Kid's have no fear, she will probably be tearing it up before you know it. Skoalwolf, is your wife coming to Gob Hill on the 8th?

Well I sure loved this place and thought there was PLENTY OF ROOM for improvements out there. It was bigger than I had orignally thought, and plenty of wide open areas! I now understand their "parking lot problem" as it is a muddy field that doesn't take long to start swallowing trucks (make sure you call ahead to make sure they are open). They had a "kid" MX Track with a small tabletop and some small jumps, it was big enought for me to get some air. They seem to have a little bit of everything, hills, MUD, wooded trails, open trails, more mud, ponds, etc. For this place being so close (30 mins from leclaire) it was AWESOME and you will defintely see me out there again. The other cool thing is they allow you to do pretty much anything you want out there (as in making new trails) and cleaning it up. Some trail maintence does need to happen out there soon as some trails were to rutted out for me to get through but still a great place. I noticed in one part of the park where it was kinda on a hill would be a great spot to make a big MX / race track to play around at. I know they are constanly wanting to make improvements, so I expect big things out of this park but for being only a year old they got alot going for them.
