We all were helmets and some sort of goggles but; what is some of the protective gear you wear and why?

A helmet, goggles, gloves, boots and jeans round out my protection while I ride. The goggles, gloves and jeans help shield me from flying debris and thick brush but my boots are to help protect my feet and ankles from getting pinned in case of a roll over. (not that I would do that! ) Lately I have been thinking of adding a chest protector. These machines can vary in size from a couple hundred pounds to over a thousand pounds and if one lands on your chest it could definitely do some damage, if not cause a fatality. In this sport, its not enough to say "I'll just be careful and nothing will happen", you need to protect yourself. Accidents WILL happen, it just depends on how bad!

ok... here goes... when im racin... helmet, goggles, chest protector, full boots, and definitely a good pair of gloves. if im just ridin ill looses the chest protector cuz i never ride nearly as hard as i race, but no one ever expects to wreck... as for my boots, race boots are somewhat uncomfortable and ill wear old combat or work boots when ridin. Now as for quad/ridin protection as mojo said, before handguards i would have to take my hand off the bars to avoid gettin hit in the hands by larger sticks and branches. i also recommend nerfs if u like to jump, no one likes to jump and miss the peg when comin down.... 2 cents added
