I thought this would be a good debate about insurance. Who carries it and why? Who doesn't and why? Vote above, and list your reasons below.

I carry full coverage insurance on my ATV for various reasons. One if I lose my trailer and my quad falls off my Auto policy will not cover it. I always have the fear of hitting somebody else on the trails and causing damage. For what it costs, I personally think it is worth it.

I do not currently have insurance on any of our quads, however, I believe it to be worth every penny to have it. When we first got our quads we only rode them in areas right by our home that no one else really rode at so I didn't really feel it necessary to have coverage. We now ride in several different areas and states and I have every intention of getting insurance I just simply haven't had the time to call the insurance agency. Any number of things can happen to your quad whenever you take it out, such as: it could be stolen, wrecked, lost or worse and for those reasons alone I think insurance is a good idea.

I do believe in insuring our ATV's and what we haul them with. Now with that said I do also think with the great state of Illinois and with our Governor who taxes everything but the air you breath will someday soon make it mandatory that you have some kind of insurance on anything that has a title or registration. Its not a bad thing for us to have insurance on them but if they make it mandatory the price will go up! With Illinois giving grants to some of the parks in this state and making it so you can't ride there unless you have a sticker its just a matter of time be for insurance is next. (Just my opinion)

I paid 1000 bucks for my quad, but it is insured for 2000!!! I should have let you ride it Skoalwolf, but then it probally wouldn't have been damaged, thats a KAWI for ya!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can ride it and wreck it all the time, it has to be one tough quad!

Just for the record, we've had insurance on all of our quads now since April. Knock on wood we haven't had to use it yet but we are now officially INSURANCE POOR!!!

I think its a good idea, but I don't think I want my agent to laugh when I have to explain to them what exactly I own.
